About Us

Déjà vu's Director and Dancer, Aarti Mundra Bajaj, was born in 1984 in a small town in Rajasthan; one of the states of INDIA. She moved to Surat along with her parents after few years.

Being a girl with traditional background, she was interested in classical dancing right from her childhood.  She began to pursue her interest at the age of eight by joining an institute of professional training in Indian classical dance(Bharathnatyam).

She won many awards and accolades in dance at school level. The major turnaround for her was in the year 2000, when she won National level Dance competition held in Calcutta, India. This award brought her recognition and appreciation from all over India.

"She finished her bachelors in dance (Bharathnatyam) in 2002-2003 and had her first stage performance “Arangetram” in Jan 2004 in Surat, Gujarat, India in front of packed audience.
After getting recognition from all over India, she represented my country in International dance festival in June 2004 in Canada and her performance was appreciated by the world audience at the events. It was a moment of honour for her to make her country proud."

Thereafter Aarti  diversified her dancing talents and moved more towards contemporary Indian dancing using her knowledge of Indian classical dance.

She has also completed a Bachelors in Physiotherapy in India, before moving to Australia in April 2007. She has now completed post graduate studies in medical ultrasound and using these skills as a medical Sonographer in Canberra.
